1. Scope
This privacy policy contains information about the processing of personal data in the context of the use of our website “bind-x.com”.

2. Responsibility and contact persons
The company responsible for the processing of personal data is Bind-X GmbH (hereinafter: Bind-X). Ad-dress and contact details can be found in the imprint. For any questions regarding data protection in connection with our products/services or the use of our website, you can contact us at any time by post or by e-mail at privacy@bind-x.com .

3. Place of data processing
All personal data collected or processed via the website is stored on our own web servers. Insofar as we make use of the infrastructure of external service providers, we have ensured that this is always done on the basis of the necessary agreements on order processing.

4. Changes to Privacy Information
As part of the further development of data protection law as well as technological or organizational changes, our data protection information is regularly reviewed for the need for adaptation or supple-mentation and updated as necessary.

B. General data processing when you visit our website

1. Logfiles
When you access our web pages, a log data set (so-called server log files) is stored on our web server, which also includes the IP address of the website visitor. The data within these server log files is re-quired, among other things, to correctly display the content of our websites and to ensure the security of our IT infrastructure (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR; § 25 para. 2 no. 2 TDDDG). The log files are regularly and automatically deleted by our hoster. If you would like further information on this, please feel free to contact us at any time using the contact details mentioned above.

2. Tools and Cookies
This website uses various services and applications (collectively, “Tools”) offered either by ourselves or by third parties. These include, but are not limited to, tools that use technologies to store or access in-formation in the device (e.g., cookies, web storage, JavaScripts, or pixels). Details of the tools, in par-ticular the cookies used, can be found in the privacy settings.
On the one hand, we distinguish between tools that are absolutely necessary, e.g. to provide the basic functions of the website or to provide an expressly requested service (the legal basis for the use of these tools is our legitimate interest in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR, or § 25.2 no. 2 TDDDG). On the other hand, we use tools that are not absolutely necessary and allow us, for example: to evalu-ate the calls and visits to the website or to play out targeted marketing measures. For the use of these tools, we require your prior consent, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR, or § 25.1 TDDDG).

3. Management and configuration of tools and cookies
Our website uses a so-called cookie consent management tool to manage and control the consents that may be required to store or load certain tools. The associated data processing is therefore necessary to provide you with the legally required consent management and to comply with our documentation obli-gations. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR, justified by our interest in meeting the legal require-ments for consent management (§ 25 para. 2 no. 2 TDDDG). You can withdraw your consent for certain tools at any time. To do this, click on the privacy settings. There you can also change the selection of tools you want to consent to use, as well as additional information about the cookies and the respective storage period. Alternatively, you can claim your revocation directly from the provider for certain tools. If you have any questions about the provider or need further information, please feel free to contact us at any time using the contact details mentioned above.

C. Other special data processing

1. Contact
We offer a contact form on our website to answer questions from interested parties and users and to provide information about our services. We process the inquiries and information addressed to us in this context only to process your request and to contact you (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR). We store your data for the duration of a resulting business relationship with you at the latest (Art. 6 para. 1 b) GDPR). If such a business and contractual relationship does not arise as a result of the request, we will delete your data no later than twelve (12) months after the last contact with you. The right to object to the pro-cessing beforehand or to request deletion remains unaffected, of course.

2. LinkedIn Insight-Tag
We use LinkedIn Insight Tag from LinkedIn Corporation, Sunnyvale, California, US to create target groups, segment visitor groups of our online offerings, determine conversion rates and then optimize them. This happens especially when you interact with ads we have placed with LinkedIn Corporation. To do this, LinkedIn Corporation offers retargeting for website visitors to display targeted advertising out-side of our website. LinkedIn Insight Tag collects data about visits to our website, including URL, referrer URL, IP address, device and browser properties (user agent), and timestamps. This data is used to pre-sent anonymized reports on the website audience and ad performance. The LinkedIn Insight Tag is used on the basis of your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TDDDG. In this case, we intend to transfer personal data to third countries outside the European Economic Area, in par-ticular the USA. The data transfer to the USA takes place in accordance with Art. 45 (1) GDPR on the ba-sis of the adequacy decision of the European Commission. The US company involved is certified accord-ing to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (EU-U.S. DPF). For more information, please see the privacy policy for LinkedIn Insight Tag.

3. LinkedIn Ads
We have integrated LinkedIn Ads on our website. LinkedIn Ads is also a service from LinkedIn Corporation that displays targeted ads to users. LinkedIn Ads uses cookies and other browser technologies to evaluate user behavior and recognize users. LinkedIn Ads collects information about visitor behavior on different websites. This information is used to optimize the relevance of advertising. LinkedIn Ads also delivers targeted advertising based on behavioral profiles and geographic location. Your IP address and other identification features such as your user agent are transmitted to the provider in order to create pseudonymised user profiles. These profiles cannot be merged with you as a natural person, but are used, for example, for segmentation when displaying advertisements. LinkedIn Ads are used on the basis of your consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and § 25 (1) TDDDG. The data transfer to the USA takes place in accordance with Art. 45 (1) GDPR on the basis of the adequacy decision of the European Commission. The US company involved is certified according to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (EU-U.S. DPF). For more information, please see the LinkedIn Ads Privacy Policy.

D. Candidacies

Information about the type and scope of data processing in the event that you send us your application documents can be found in the “Career” section.

E. Social media

We operate presences on online platforms and social networks in order to interact with potential or ex-isting customers, to exchange ideas with interested parties and users, or to advertise offers and ser-vices. We operate our websites in so-called joint (data protection) responsibility with the providers. We process data that you share or publish directly via the online platforms and networks (e.g. via comment and chat functions) in order to interact with you in this regard or to exchange information with you. As part of this interaction, we may also receive statistical data from the platform operators on the use of our “channels and fan pages”. This includes, for example, information about interactions, likes, com-ments or summarized information and statistics (e.g. IP address; Origin of followers) that help us learn about interactions with our page. The legal basis for data processing in our area of responsibility is Art. 6 para. 1, sentence 1 lit. f) GDPR.
However, the providers also process data under their own responsibility. We have no influence on data that is processed by the provider on its own responsibility in accordance with its own terms of use and data protection. We would like to point out that when you access the aforementioned providers, fur-ther data (e.g. on your usage and “surfing behaviour”) may be collected and, if necessary, transmitted to the provider. Please also note that in the case of interaction via the aforementioned media, data may also be processed outside the area of the European Union. Furthermore, user data is usually processed for market research and advertising purposes. For example, usage profiles can be created based on the user behaviour and the resulting interests of the users. The usage profiles can in turn be used, for ex-ample, to place advertisements inside and outside the platforms that presumably correspond to the in-terests of the users. You can find more information on this in the data protection information of the re-spective providers. If we have any personal data about you in connection with the use of the online platforms and networks, please direct your concerns to us. If you want to assert rights against a specific provider, please contact the respective provider.
